Like all of you in the last few months, we have been grappling both professionally and personally on the effects that Covid-19 has had. Our lives changed so quickly, and our worlds have become much smaller. We are all changing, supporting and growing together and we shortly enter this next phase of creating a roadmap for a return to practice. We have missed supporting and caring for you all so much and are grateful to you all for your continued support and endless good wishes while we navigate a way ahead. We think we are there.... we have carefully interpreted government guidelines and attended many zoom meetings to ensure we are going in the right direction to welcome you back in the safest way possible.
We have a provisional date for re-opening,(see above) but as with every other sector, this is being reviewed on a week by week basis. We will be contacting all of you over the next week or so with open diaries, and crossed fingers that the dates booked will go ahead. Karen will be taking urgent care appointments only in the first week, and opening up the diary for all other patients thereafter.
We really hope you will still recognise our smiley faces underneath our PPE! Most of our PPE has arrived, so please be assured we are doing everything in our power to keep you safe. There will be some changes, of course, but these are for everyone's safety and wellbeing.
We have written a risk assessment for our premises, and there will be a list of please do and please don't up in the waiting room for you to read when you arrive. You will also notice some changes- we have removed all soft furnishings and couch covers etc- these have all been replaced with disposable/wipe clean products. We have also removed all leaflets and magazines. We will ask that you let us know if you have a temperature or cough (by filling the form in beforehand) and also checking your temperature on arrival. We can also check blood oxygen levels for you. If you do have a temperature we will move your appointment to another day. If you think it's hayfever do phone us for a chat beforehand! We will ask that you wash your hands on arrival. We will ask that you bring and wear a mask ( we will provide you with one if you forget). We will ask that you also wash your hands on leaving the building. There will be fewer appointments for the time being, to allow us to thoroughly clean all surfaces in between clients. This will also allow us to change masks, gloves, and aprons also. We will ask that you be on time for your appointment (rather than too early!) as this will ensure minimal contact with another person in the waiting area (although the chairs will be 2 metres apart), and that you come on your own for appointments. We also will ask you to take any rubbish home with you (coffee cups, tissues etc) as the virus remains 'live' for 72 hours and will minimise the risk of contamination to others. We can still take contactless card payments, but to minimise contact and cleaning further, bank transfers and cash in sealed envelopes are also acceptable forms of payment.
These do's and dont's may well change as government guidance and guidelines change, but we will of course keep you posted!
The only things that haven't changed are us! We have participated in online learning, forums, reading materials and connected with others in the same professions to support each other and to share ideas. We are still as passionate and committed in our roles as ever, and simply can't wait to see you all again!
If you have ANY questions at ALL please shout! info@winchesterhealthandbeauty.co.uk, karen@winchesterhealthandbeauty.co.uk, or annabel@winchesterhealthandbeauty.co.uk. Probably best to email as we are not at the clinic all the time just yet to answer the phone, but popping in and out regularly.
Much love and see you all soon! xx

Winchester Health and Beauty have a cancellation policy. We understand that there will be times when you need to cancel your booking. We kindly request that you give at least 48 hours notice should you wish to cancel an appointment as a courtesy to both our therapists and other clients. Giving us notice allows us try and offer these time slots to other clients-if we can do so then the cancellation fee will be waived. Sunday cancellations for Monday appointments will not be accepted as the clinic is closed on Sundays. If you are running late we will try and accommodate you the best we can, but may not be able to perform the full treatment if other clients are waiting. We thank you for your understanding.
